About

Kooroora is a popular community tennis club located in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney with 6 floodlit courts and a modern clubhouse in a quiet parkland setting.

The Club was formed in 1948. The name “Kooroora” means “happy meeting place” and was adopted by our founding members. Today’s members still consider that to be a most appropriate name. Kooroora is a registered not-for-profit community organisation and is operated entirely by volunteers.

While Kooroora is all business when it comes to tennis we also firmly believe in providing the complete tennis experience for our members, visitors and the broader Willoughby community:

  • 6 synthetic grass courts
  • Competition level flood lights
  • Pro shop & café
  • Clubhouse with change rooms and showers
  • Off-street carpark
  • BBQ and large covered outdoor space and gardens

From lessons for beginners, a relaxing game of social tennis or the challenge of competition … you will find all those opportunities at Kooroora. We hope you feel inspired to find out more about us.
